My journey started when I was 14 years old. I began sweeping floors in a cabinet shop in Florida after school. I quickly realized that I enjoyed working with my hands and had a knack for doing so. I learned all of the different positions at the cabinet shop, and along with my brother, ran the cabinet shop for 6 year . After ten years at the cabinet shop, getting married and a big move to Canada, I had to start all over. I started working at a custom cabinet shop here in London. Again, quickly learning the ins and outs of a fine custom cabinetry shop, I was asked to be shop foreman. I was foreman for a couple years before taking the next step in learning different trades. After moving on from full time cabinetry work, I began working for a construction company. During this time, I learned the many aspects of the construction trade and business as well as continuing to do all of their cabinetry work. I was a job site foreman and worked for that company for 5 years. For around 2 years I had the opportunity to be a stay at home father, taking my children to school and picking them up as well as taking care of the household while my wife worked full time. I was then a custodian at a local church part time for a few years. I still was able to take and pick up my kids from school, as well as do renovation work around the house. Last June, in 2019, I took the step to go out on my own full time, starting Nichols Home Improvements. Although it hasn't been easy and it requires a lot of hard work, I know that this is what I should be doing right now. I've enjoyed the variety of work that I have been able to complete. From major bathroom and kitchen renovations to building decks and fences, as well as smaller handy man type jobs, I am grateful to be able to do this work.  I am extremely thankful to my ever supporting wife, who is such a great support and the unconditional love my two daughters show to me. I hope to have continued success in building relationships and completing projects with clients through integrity, quality of workmanship and reliable hard work. Chris
